I think the picture says it all. That’s me at the finish of the Mont Blanc marathon, which I ran yesterday. It also explains the lack of blog posts in the last weeks, as I have been training loads for this race. It is a full marathon in length (42 km), but ascends over 2500m in height, and loses 1500m too, so yes quite a tough one. As you can see Maximus (my Bernese Mountain dog) came to see me at the finish (he was wise and took the cable car up to meet me). Anyway, happy enough with the time (7hrs 50mins), and haven’t ruled out doing it again next year – we will see. Today is a rest day, then back to guiding from tomorrow.
